FiveTwo Race team pick up Diamondback as new team sponsor

Diamondback and the FiveTwo Race team have put pen to paper on a sponsorship deal for 2012 and 2013. The agreement sees the FiveTwo Race Team riding and competing with the latest Diamondback XC, BMX and 4X bikes and accessories.

Racing out of the Terminal 1 skate park at Melton Mowbray, the eight FiveTwo riders will be looking to storm the UK’s competition scene in the next two years, bringing their energy and daredevil nature to races, demos, events and charity shindigs.

Jason Boness, Diamondback product manager at Raleigh said: “FiveTwo has some of the most exciting BMX, DH, Dirt and MTB racers around. They’re a great bunch of lads too, with some promising up and coming young riders, and I have every confidence that they’ll do the Diamondback brand proud.”

John Lee, FiveTwo team manager said: “We are super stoked and happy to announce that we’ve moved to Diamondback Bikes for 2012 and 2013. The team is already aboard some of the bikes and we are more than impressed with the strength, durability and versatility they offer.

“We’ve made some big changes this year. The lineup of the team is fresh and new and we’re aiming to smash deeper into the action sports genre. From MTB and BMX to motorcross and scootering, we’ll be everywhere in 2012 and will be a force to be reckoned with.”

“We’re looking forward to working with Geoff (Giddings, Raleigh Marketing Director) and Jason more as we strive to help them stamp authority on why the brand belongs at the top – we can’t wait to show the world just how good these bikes are!”

The FiveTwo team will be riding Diamondback’s 2012 range which includes full suspension MTBs, hardtail MTBs, BMX bikes and 4X bikes, all available from Cyclelife stores and independent Diamondback dealers.
